GeNTRIFICATION OF MATCHA
This project explores the gentrification of matcha as global demand turns a traditional Japanese drink into a trendy café product. My goal was to bring attention back to where matcha comes from and the regions in Japan that produce it. I turned my research into infographic visuals then adapted the poster into an interactive digital design with clickable hotspots that reveal more information and allow viewers to explore the data step by step. Through this project, I learned how to organize complex research into clear visual systems and how interaction can help audiences better understand the story behind a product.
